Hyundai Elantra Tops Small Cars In Delighting Consumers According To Strategic Vision Study
Elantra Earns Top Marks in Consumer Delight Index
February 9, 2005 (Fountain Valley, Calif.) -- Hyundai's top-selling model, the Elantra, earned distinction as the most "delightful" small car according to research consultancy Strategic Vision, Inc. Strategic Vision's "Customer Delight Index," based on the Edwards Customer Delight Scale ®, provides a comprehensive look at the product attributes and benefits that explicitly create "super-positive" delightful responses from the primary drivers of the vehicles.
The Elantra has been an outstanding performer in Strategic Vision studies over the past year. Elantra earned "Best Value" in the small car category in the Strategic Vision Total Value Index 2004 and tied for first in Strategic Vision's 2004 Total Quality Award for best small car ownership experience.
Strategic Vision's 2004 Customer Delight Index was calculated from the responses from 74,910 new 2004-model vehicle owners who made their purchases between October 2003 and March of 2004. They had owned their vehicles for at least 90 days before they were surveyed.
Good Housekeeping Institute Honors Hyundai Sonata With "What Women Want" Automotive Satisfaction Award
February 9, 2005 (Fountain Valley, Calif.) -- The Good Housekeeping Institute awarded the Hyundai Sonata with its "What Women Want" Automotive Satisfaction Award for the entry midsize car category. The study, based on an annual J.D. Power automotive study, is designed to find out what women find most important when buying a new automobile.
The award adds to Sonata's trophy case, which already includes recognition as the Highest Ranked Entry Midsize Car in Initial Quality in the J.D. Power and Associates 2004 Initial Quality Study. Click here for full story.
Hyundai scores well in value survey
Improved customer impression of quality helps Korean automaker rank No. 2 behind Lexus.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Cars made by Korea's Hyundai have been rated as among the best values because of improved customer opinion of its quality, according to a survey.
The survey of 69,000 car buyers, conducted by consulting firm Strategic Vision, said the once-maligned brand is rated as No. 2 in perceived value, behind only luxury auto brand Lexus. In the 2003 survey, Hyundai had the best value ranking of any brand under $30,000, but it trailed four different luxury brands -- Lexus, Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz -- to have the No. 5 ranking overall. Elantra Earns Auto Pacifics Vehicle Satisfaction Award
Elantra, Hyundai Motor Co.s top-selling vehicle worldwide, earned top honours in Auto Pacific Inc.s 2003 Vehicle Satisfaction Score (VSS) study. Auto Pacific, a California-based automotive market research and product consulting company, surveyed new vehicle owners to rank their level of satisfaction on a list of 41 attributes including seating, roominess, comfort, dealership experience and economic consideration. The final tabulation placed Elantra, Hyundais top-seller worldwide, in a tie with the Volkswagen Beetle and ahead of 21 other competitors in the compact car category. Click here for full story. |
